Prague invites all visitors to a range of exciting Easter events 1.4. - 23.4. 2017. The annual Easter markets which take place on three of Prague´s most famous squares - Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí), the Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí), the Square of the Republic (náměstí Republiky), náměstí Míru and Anděl. The annual Prague Easter markets are popular with both locals and foreign visitors who stream to Prague during the Easter holidays. The markets are starting about two weeks before Easter Sunday and ending one more week after Easter. They are open every day of the week.
All places are full decorated with colorful ribbons, birch tree twigs, flowers and beautifully painted Easter eggs which are symbolizing Easter and the comming spring.
They are offering traditional Czech products such as beautifully decorated Easter eggs, laces, wooden toys and puppets and various Easter decorations.
Food stands offer refreshments including old Czech specialties and traditional Easter foods that cannot be found at other times of the year.
Every day the markets are visited by thousands of visitou looking for some great shopping as well as entertaining cultural programmes. The schedule includes music and dance performances, demonstrations of old arts and crafts, decorating Easter eggs and making candles.
